Short version

Everything you type or drop into the AI Slop Detector is processed locally in your browser. We do not upload, collect, store, or share your text or images. Ever.

Detection runs on your device

The text and image checks on this site are implemented entirely in client-side JavaScript. When you paste text or select an image, the analysis happens on your device — the file is read with a local in-memory reference that is discarded as soon as the preview is drawn. No content is transmitted to our servers or to any third party, and there is no server-side component that could receive it.

What we do not collect

• Your pasted text or uploaded images
• Detection results or scores
• Accounts or personal information — this site has no login and no user database
• Advertising profiles (we do not enable advertising personalization)

What is collected automatically

• Hosting logs: this site is served by a CDN/hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages or similar). Like nearly every website, the provider records standard request logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
• Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to measure public page visits and referring sites. Page URLs omit query strings and fragments; we do not send uploaded files, editor input, prompts, account details, or payment information. Analytics cookies last up to one year. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics storage stays off until you accept; elsewhere it is on by default. Unknown locations default to off. You can change or withdraw your choice using Privacy settings in the footer. Advertising storage and personalization stay off. When storage is off, Google may receive cookieless measurement signals. Google processes usage and device information under its privacy policy.

Third parties

The only third parties involved in operating this site are our hosting/CDN provider and, when enabled, the analytics provider described above. We do not sell your data.

Advertising (not currently enabled)

Advertising is not currently enabled on this site, and the current code does not include advertising scripts or ad units. If advertising is enabled in the future, third-party advertising providers such as Google may use cookies or web beacons and may process data such as your IP address, device or browser information, and request information to serve, measure, or personalize ads. We will update this policy before advertising goes live so the applicable provider and data practices are described accurately. We do not currently send your detection text, images, or results to advertising providers; detection remains local to your browser.

Some pages link to external sources (for example, Wikipedia articles about publicly reported AI slop phenomena). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

If the site's data practices ever change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
