Short version
Everything you type or drop into the AI Slop Detector is processed locally in your browser. We do not upload, collect, store, or share your text or images. Ever.
Detection runs on your device
The text and image checks on this site are implemented entirely in client-side JavaScript. When you paste text or select an image, the analysis happens on your device — the file is read with a local in-memory reference that is discarded as soon as the preview is drawn. No content is transmitted to our servers or to any third party, and there is no server-side component that could receive it.
What we do not collect
- Your pasted text or uploaded images
- Detection results or scores
- Accounts or personal information — this site has no login and no user database
- Cookies for tracking (we set none ourselves)
What is collected automatically
- Hosting logs: this site is served by a CDN/hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages or similar). Like nearly every website, the provider records standard request logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
- Anonymous analytics (if enabled): we may enable a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible to count page views and referrers in aggregate. These tools do not build individual profiles and do not require cookie banners. If a tool is ever added that uses cookies, this page will be updated before it goes live.
Third parties
The only third parties involved in operating this site are our hosting/CDN provider and, when enabled, the anonymous analytics provider described above. We do not sell or transfer data, because we do not have any.
External links
Some pages link to external sources (for example, Wikipedia articles about publicly reported AI slop phenomena). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
If the site's data practices ever change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
